The Best Confetti Colours for an Autumn Wedding
Share
As I sit down to write this, it's a glorious summer's day in the Usk Valley, with temperatures nudging 30°C and the roses basking in the sunshine. Autumn feels a long way off, yet nature is already quietly preparing for the seasons ahead. The blackberries are beginning to swell in the hedgerows, clusters of elderberries are starting to ripen, and before we know it the mornings will have that unmistakable hint of autumn in the air.
If you're planning an autumn wedding, now is the perfect time to start thinking about the little details that will make your day feel truly special. Choosing a confetti colour palette that complements the season is one of them, and nature offers plenty of inspiration.
Rich Reds & Deep Burgundy
Deep crimson and burgundy petals bring warmth, romance and elegance to an autumn celebration. They sit beautifully against the golden tones of changing leaves and create a striking contrast in your wedding photographs. If you're drawn to timeless styling with a touch of drama, this palette is a wonderful choice.
Warm Copper & Burnt Orange
Inspired by autumn's turning leaves, copper and burnt orange petals capture the very essence of the season. They complement natural greenery, cream florals and earthy colour palettes perfectly, adding warmth without overpowering the moment.
Dusky Rose & Antique Pink
For a softer, more romantic feel, muted pinks are simply beautiful. They catch the gentle autumn light wonderfully and are especially suited to rustic barns, woodland weddings and countryside venues. Delicate and understated, they never go out of style.
Cream & Soft Blush
If you love a classic, elegant look, cream and blush petals are a lovely choice. Their gentle tones stand out beautifully against autumn's darker landscapes while keeping the focus where it belongs — on the happy couple.
Our autumn-inspired blends, such as Blackberry Jam and Sloe Gin, take their inspiration from the colours of the hedgerows that surround us here in the Usk Valley, bringing a little of the season's natural beauty to your confetti moment.
How Much Confetti Will You Need?
For beautiful photographs, we recommend allowing at least one generous handful of confetti for each guest. If you're planning a confetti tunnel or a longer walk beneath a shower of petals, it's worth ordering a little extra to make the most of the moment.
Ordering Ahead
As all of our rose petal confetti is grown, hand-picked and naturally dried by us here in the Usk Valley, we recommend ordering around four to six weeks before your wedding. Your petals can then be stored somewhere cool and dry until the big day, ready for that unforgettable confetti throw.
Every petal we send has been lovingly grown peat-free here on our family smallholding in the beautiful Usk Valley. We carefully harvest each bloom by hand before naturally drying the petals to preserve their colour and beauty, creating biodegradable confetti that's as kind to the environment as it is beautiful to throw.
We hope our rose petals become a small part of one of the happiest moments of your day.
